Sensorium Theatre, Aus (Oct 2018 - current)

  • ‘Sensory Storytelling’ facilitator (Wombat Stew, Big Rain Coming)

  • Performance and development of ‘Sensory Storytelling’ projects in 2019, engaging children living with disabilities and their carers in facilitated sensory play and exploration

Perth Symphony Orchestra, Aus (Nov-Dec 2018)

  • Creative Ensemble Facilitator

  • Four weekly sessions at Gilmore School, Kwinana spearheading the initiation of a mixed instrument Creative Ensemble showcasing original music

Child & Adolescent Health Service, Princess Margaret Hospital / Perth Children’s Hospital, Aus (Sep 2017-Dec 2018, 0.2-0.4)

‘Project Sing’ Artist in Residence

  • The project included facilitating spontaneous small and large group musical interactions in Outpatient areas, a staff and volunteer lunchtime singing group, plus a digital songwriting project on the mental health ward and creative music workshops in ‘Fun on 4’ 

West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Aus (2014-2019)

‘Jump! Jam! Jiggle!’ Presenter

  • The development and delivery of ‘Jump! Jam! Jiggle!’ for 2016 Education Week, 2017 AWESOME Festival and Homegrown Festival Gosnells 2018

  • The programme included the arrangement of extracts from Holst’s ‘The Planets’ arranged for nonet linked through a dramatic scenario, with opportunity for participatory improvisational music making by families with children aged 3+yr

Facilitator ‘HOP composition project’ at Princess Margaret Hospital and Perth Children’s Hospital

  • An annual 1-day workshop engaging young people and their families in a creative music making process

AWESOME Arts, Aus (2012, 2013, 2016)

Co-facilitator ‘Creative Challenge’ projects ‘Remix’ (Koorliny Arts Centre, Kwinana), ‘This Little Light’ (East Kalgoorlie Primary School) and ‘SEED’ (Bungaree Primary School, Rockingham) 

  • Creative Challenge unites two artists in a school over a two week residency to inspire the creation of original artworks by children, engaging with a programme theme

The Song Room, Aus (Feb-Dec 2013, 0.2)

Teaching Artist at Woodbridge Primary School, 1-yr teacher mentoring programme

This involved working with two teachers to develop a sequential in-school music programme and original music around the ‘You Can Do It!’ social-emotional learning programme

ARC Centre of Excellence for the History of Human Emotion, Aus (2013)

Artist in Residence, Kalbarri Zestfest 2013

  • This involved working with multiple classes over a week, utilising traditional West African djembe ensemble rhythms in order to develop a performance piece around themes of the Dutch VOC activities in South Africa

Musician in Residence

  • Running weekly singing and music-making sessions for people living with Parkinson’s Disease and in Mental Health Ward 4c (including dementia patients)

Catholic Homes, Aus (Apr – Jul 2019)

Drumming Facilitator and Choir Leader (Autumn 2019)

  • A six-week djembe drumming group for older people in high care and a ten-week choir project in independent living and hostel care, including the development of a resource for staff. 

  • A ten-week choral project, uniting Independent Living and Hostel Residents and culminating in a public performance

Catholic Homes, Aus (2014, 2015, 2016)

Music Facilitator

  • Four eight-week projects with older people in high care and independent hostel living (including dementia and mental health), working alongside Occupational and Speech Therapists to develop and deliver a variety of small and large group participatory and/or creative music-making experiences. 

Amana Living and WASO, Aus (Feb – Mar 2019)

Project Facilitator

  • Leading a six-week creative project for older people in nursing care, using reminiscence and themed musical frameworks for musical improvisation and composition, as part of the 2019 Amana Living Festival.

  • Three standalone sessions, including the arrangement and teaching of pop repertoire in three parts in a fun, informal format

  • Curated, programmed and facilitated four seasons, during which Menagerie sang indie and alternative repertoire in unique choral arrangements at gig venues and festival events including Fringe World
